Team Leodis Achieve Significant Results Following Intensive Deployments in Gipton and Harehills, Leeds |

Team Leodis officers from Leeds District, working in partnership with East Leeds Neighbourhood Policing Team and Leeds City Council, have worked across the Gipton and Harehills ward over the last six months. The team initially conducted a series of surveys with residents to identify their concerns across the ward, with a total of 202 residents spoken to. Following reviews of the community feedback and intelligence gathered, they proactively deployed across the ward to tackle and disrupt anti-social behaviour and criminality, while safeguarding vulnerable people. The intensive and proactive deployments by Team Leodis, resulted in: Three eviction notices and tenancy action taken One Full Premise Closure Order Six Partial Premise Closure Orders Three extension applications of Closure Orders Four Criminal Behaviour Order Applications submitted Seven referrals submitted to Adult Social Care Two referrals made to the Street Outreach teams Two referrals submitted to Leeds City Council Cleaner Neighbourhoods Team Two referrals submitted to Leeds City Council Environmental Action Team One referral sent to the Community Payback Scheme In addition, over eighty residents were spoken to as part of the exit survey to obtain community feedback in relation to the issues and concerns addressed. Sergeant Edel Fox lead for Team Leodis, said: “Team Leodis have carried out intensive work across the Gipton and Harehills ward, achieving significant results in tackling anti-social behaviour, disrupting criminal activity, and safeguarding our most vulnerable residents. “I would like to thank all residents for their cooperation, trust, and support throughout this operation. Please do continue to report any suspicious activity, anti-social behaviour, and criminality, as action will be taken.”
